From aikido and mountain biking to skiing, fitness, basketball and swimming, the University of Strasbourg’s Sports and Physical Activity Office (Service universitaire des activités physiques et sportives – SUAPS) offers more than 90 activities for students and staff, available as drop-in sessions, coached classes or intensive courses.

Compete in sport

The University of Strasbourg’s Sports Association (Association sportive – AS) gives students the opportunity to compete in regional and national championships and represent the university. It also offers hands-on experience in organising sporting events, refereeing, coaching and team management.

Looking to balance sport and studies while competing at a high level? You can apply for high-level student-athlete status, which allows you to adapt your academic schedule to fit your training and competition commitments.

Accessible sport

Students and staff with disabilities can take part in activities offered by the University of Strasbourg’s Sports and Physical Activity Office. 

The Association Strasbourg handisport passion aventure (ASHPA) offers both recreational and competitive sports for people with physical or sensory disabilities.
