Your degree certificate will be available at the end of the academic year in which your degree was officially confirmed. It is a unique and important document so make sure to keep it somewhere safe and make copies.
We handle requests that follow the proper procedure first, so please complete all required steps carefully. Incomplete requests may take longer to process.
If you are collecting a PhD certificate, contact the Doctoral College via the student contact form.
Request your degree certificate
Once you have completed your degree at the University of Strasbourg, you can request your official degree certificate from your faculty, school or institute’s Academic Administration Office within six months of the examination board’s decision.
Collect your degree certificate from the Academic Administration Office
To collect your degree certificate in person, you must first submit a request via the degree certificate request form. You will need to contact your faculty, school or institute’s Academic Administration Office (scolarité) before coming to collect your degree certificate. You can then visit the office during opening hours. You must bring:
- A valid ID: national identity card, passport or driving licence (student cards, social security cards, travel cards, etc. are not accepted)
Have someone collect your diploma for you
If you cannot collect your degree certificate yourself, you may authorise someone else to do so at your faculty, school or institute’s Academic Administration Office. You must first complete the degree certificate request form and provide written authorisation for someone else to collect your degree certificate. This person must bring:
- A signed written authorisation letter
- Their own valid ID and a front-and-back copy of your valid ID
Request a replacement copy of your degree certificate
If your degree certificate is lost, destroyed or stolen, you can request a replacement copy. The University of Strasbourg can only issue one replacement copy per degree certificate.
Amend your degree certificate
If your civil status changes, you can request an amended degree certificate that reflects your new legal details. The new document will be issued as a replacement copy.
Contact your faculty, school or institute’s Academic Administration Office and provide the following documents:
- Your original degree certificate (If you keep your original degree certificate, we can only issue a certificate of completion instead of a duplicate)
- A copy of your updated ID
- A copy of your birth certificate showing the change
Collecting your Pix Certificate
Once you have passed the Pix certification, you can access your Pix certificate on the Pix website:
- Log in to your Pix account using the email address and password linked to your profile
- Go to "My certifications"
- Download your Pix certificate in PDF format
Certificates downloaded directly from the Pix platform can be used for professional or personal purposes.
Each Pix certificate includes a unique verification code, which appears on both your online certificate and the downloadable PDF. This code allows a third party to verify the authenticity of your certificate.
